Oprah Winfrey to Sit Down with Lindsay Lohan; LiLo Gets OWN Reality Show
(NEW YORK) -- In another good get, Oprah Winfrey is set to sit down with troubled actress Lindsay Lohan. What's more is that the 27-year-old has also scored her own reality show, which will air on Winfrey's OWN network next year.
“OWN will air an exclusive interview with Oprah and Lindsay Lohan that will tape and air in August and an eight-part documentary series with Lindsay for 2014,” an OWN spokesperson confirmed to ABC News Radio.
Lindsay has been featured in a past docu-series, E!'s Living Lohan, in 2008. Yet, the actress has repeatedly turned down pitches for other reality shows in recent years, instead focusing on scripted film projects.
Lindsay is in the middle of her sixth stay in rehab. This latest 90-day sentence was court-ordered after the actress violated her probation for a previous offense.
Lindsay stars in the upcoming film The Canyons, a gritty drama about young people and their struggles in Tinseltown. The film, directed by Taxi Driver screenwriter Paul Schrader, will be released in select New York City theaters on Aug. 2 -- the same day it comes to IFC and on-demand services.
