50 Cent Breakfast Served Wednesday at the Marion County Farm BureauYou can eat breakfast for 50-cents Wednesday morning. Marion and Clinton County Farm Bureau Manager Gary Kennedy says the breakfast at the Marion County Farm Bureau Building on Route 37 North in Salem is part of the Farm Bureau's celebration of National Agriculture week. He explains the significance of the 50 cent cost.
"We're wanting to show how reasonable food is [cost wise], and also represent the portion of that food that goes back to the farmer themselves" said Kennedy.
Kennedy explains what the meal will consist of.
"We'll have eggs, biscuits, gravy, pancakes, juices, coffee, and milk" Kennedy said.
The breakfast will be served from six to nine Wednesday morning. RFD Illinois' Rita Frazier will be broadcasting live from the breakfast from 5:36 to 6 Wednesday morning across Illinois and on WJBD to discuss the state of agriculture in Marion County.
