Centralia City Council to Consider Bids Tuesday

By Garrett Ford, WJBD News

The Centralia City Council will be asked to approve a bid Tuesday night for rock aggregate materials for the Public Works Department to use on city-wide roadways.  The city received one bid from Beelman Logistics, LLC.  The council will also be asked to approve a bid from Shores Builders, Inc. for removal and replacement of the damaged concrete slabs lining the Raccoon Lake Dam.

The city council will consider a request from Hugh and Leslie Moran of Moran Queen~Boggs Funeral Home to name the funeral home property a Local Historic Landmark.  The City Preservation Commission supports the request.

The council will be asked to approve a development agreement which will turn two leases on Centralia Lake into 13 lease sites.  They will also be asked to approve a resolution which will extend Marion County's use of the Centralia Animal Shelter.

The Centralia City Council meets Tuesday night at 7:00.
