Centralia High School Bids Farewell to 186 SeniorsThe number of Centralia High School alumni grew by 186 Sunday as CHS Seniors walked across their graduation stage.
Before the graduates claimed their diplomas, they were greeted by class valedictorian Annamarie Beckmeyer. Beckmeyer reminded her classmates of the class motto: “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” She says their journeys are just beginning and that students have the entire world at their feet. Beckmeyer encouraged her classmates to reach and grasp it.
Superintendent Chuck Lane presented the 186 graduates to High School Board President Keith Kessler. Administrators and board members then handed out diplomas as all the graduates took their moment on the stage. Salutatorian Abigail Henegar offered the final remarks on behalf of the senior class.
Three students were honored for perfect attendance. Anastasia Aarons, Travondis Lee and Dyman Sodsaikitch maintained their perfect attendance all four years of high school.
