Discovery Recount Shows No Change In Results in Salem Township Supervisor's RaceA discovery recount in the election for Salem Township Supervisor resulted in no change in the numbers.
As a result, Incumbent Democrat Gene Bailey says he will not pursue any other challenges to the April ninth election. He lost the supervisor's race to Republican Challenger Richard Gregg by just two votes, 544 to 542.
Bailey had asked for the recount in Salem Precincts seven and eight. Marion County Clerk Steve Fox says the ballots in both precincts were run individually through the machine and all absentee ballots and applications were reviewed without any issues being found.
