Ex-Governor Ryan: "I Pray Every Day for the Willis Children"
7/2/2014 @ 6:21 PM(Chicago, IL) -- Former Governor George Ryan is officially a free man today after completing probation and a previous five year prison sentence on corruption charges. He told the "Chicago Sun Times" that he prays every day for the Willis children. In 2008, the six kids died in a crash after their van ran over a piece of steel that fell from a truck, which caused the gas tank to explode and set the vehicle on fire. Later, an investigation uncovered that the driver of the truck had gained his driver's license at a Secretary of State facility through a rigged testing system. Ryan headed the Secretary of State's office at that time.
