Illini QB's Father Sentenced

(Urbana, IL)  --  The father of U of I's quarterback is being sentenced to a year of conditional discharge following an altercation at an Illini game this fall.  Fifty-one-year-old Nathan Creer pled guilty to resisting a police officer during the October 26th game at Memorial Stadium.  U of I police say they were trying to break up a fight when Nathan Scheelhaase's father was uncooperative and intoxicated.  He was kicked out of the game and banned from campus for a year, and must perform 100 hours of community service.
