Marion County Mobile Home Tax Bills Due WednesdayMarion County mobile home tax bills are due on Wednesday.
County Treasurer Patti Hahn says mobile home bills are paid in one installment and were mailed on April 2nd.
Hahn report mobile home tax payments may be made at the treasurer's office in the courthouse from eight to four, at most Marion County financial institutions, the drop box on the west side of the courthouse or by mail. August 20th post marks will be honored.
Hahn reports there is a $25 per month late fee beginning August 21st and $25 per month until the late fee reaches $100. Delinquent mobile home taxes are not sold like delinquent real estate taxes. Liens are filed on delinquent mobile homes and must be released in the county clerks office.
Hahn warns a delinquent mobile home tax bill can get expensive quickly, so she encourages payment of the bills before the deadline.
