Two Separate Checks were presented by Modern Woodmen of America to community organizations this month.

Last Friday, Modern Woodmen members presented $1,000 to the Salem Community Center in order to assist with the installation and upgrading of emergency lights and fire extinguishers at the Center. The Center has been in need of funds to install the lights and fire extinguishers, a project that is expected to cost about $2,500.

On Monday, Modern Woodmen members presented a $500 check to members of the Salem High School Boys Tennis Team in order to update the tennis courts at Bryan Memorial Park.

The projects were part of the organizations Good Neighbors program, which donates funds to various community projects.
