One Hurt In Two Vehicle Crash on East Side of SalemOne person received apparent minor injuries when a pickup truck crashed into the rear of a United Methodist Children's Home van Friday afternoon on the east side of Salem.
Salem Police say the van driven by 59-year-old Bobby Richardson of Short Road in Bluford was hit in the rear by a pickup driven by 18-year-old Rebecca Lynn Beighley of Irvin Road in rural Texico.
Both drivers escaped injury, but a passenger in the van, 20-year-old Taylor Boose on Richview Road in Mt. Vernon, was taken to Salem Township Hospital after complaining of back pain.
The crash occurred around three Friday afternoon and backed up traffic for about a half hour until the road could be reopened.
