One Pleads Guilty and Four Face New Misdemeanor Charges in Marion County CourtA 36-year-old Mt. Vernon man has been ordered to serve 14 days in the Marion County Jail with credit for time served after being arrested for misdemeanor unlawful possession of less than 2.5 grams of cannabis. Damion Moore of Prairie Street was also ordered to pay a $200 drug assessment and court costs.
Four others were given notices to appear in court after being charged with new misdemeanor offenses. 23-year-old Angela Wheetley of North Poplar in Centralia has been charged with retail theft at the Centralia CVS store. 30-year-old Peter Trudo of Ruth Ann Drive in Centralia faces a charge of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia after he was allegedly discovered in possession of a one hitter pipe. 49-year-old Lawanda Barnes of North Elm in Centralia has been charged with criminal trespass to real property for allegedly entering Party Liquors after being banned. 29-year-old Carlton Billberry of Maulding Drive in Centralia is facing a charge of tattooing the body of a minor.
