Police Beat for Friday, May 3rd, 2013A 32-year-old Sandoval man was arrested by Central City Police for alleged possession of stolen property. Chad Brown of South Main is accused of earlier having possession of a stolen play station that he later traded to get a tattoo.
31-year-old Jason Northrop of North Hart Lane in Mt. Vernon remained in custody Friday morning on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
27-year-old Larry Evans of East Broadway in Centralia was arrested for criminal trespass to property and resisting a peace officer. Centralia Police say Evans was fishing in an area designated for official personnel only on the Raccoon Lake Spillway. He then allegedly walked away when police tried to stop him. They report Evans had been warned earlier to stay away from the area. He was released after posting $250 bond.
41-year-old Susan Shock of Herrin posted $300 bond after being arrested by Salem Police on a Richland County Failure to Appear in Court warrant for driving under the influence. Police arrested Shock at a home on West Rogers Street where they had been called to a report of a verbal argument.
Salem Police are investigating a motor vehicle burglary. Ashley Buchanan of North Illinois reported her car was entered sometime before six Thursday night. Her children's social security cards are missing.
