Police Beat for Saturday, November 9th, 2013A 45-year-old rural Odin man was arrested by Marion County Sheriff's Deputies Friday for disorderly conduct after he allegedly shot his neighbor's dog. Deputies say Anthony Shaw of Hoots Chapel Road allegedly admitted to shooting the dog while it was in his back yard. Shaw said he was tired of chasing dogs out of his yard. He turned over the gun and the casing of the shotgun pellet used to fire the shot. The owner of the dog, James Thompson of the Hoots Chapel Road, had earlier found his dog lying in a ditch near Shaw's home. Shaw was taken to the Marion County Jail where he posted $150 bond and was released.
Two others remained in custody in the Marion County Jail following arrests on outstanding felony warrants. 47-year-old Alicia Jones of Howard Street in Centralia was arrested by Centralia Police. 25-year-old Janell Stockstill of Mound City was taken into custody by Marion County Sheriff's Deputies.
26-year-old Robbi Dabney Junior of Fairway Drive in Centralia posted $150 bond and was released after being arrested by State Police for driving on a suspended or revoked license.
