Police Beat for Sunday, March 9th, 2014A 35-year-old Centralia man is being held in the Marion County Jail for theft and burglary to a motor vehicle. Robert Honecker of North Elm was taken into custody when attempting to return a shirt to the Buchheit's Store in the Fairview Shopping Center. The store had earlier been warned by the person how had just bought the shirt from the store that it had been taken from their car while parked on the Family Video Store. Gary Byers of North Shelby later confirmed the shirt was his. Honecker allegedly confessed to taking the shirt from items in the back seat of the vehicle.
29-year-old Quinton Nix of Salem Mobile Home Park has been arrested by Salem Police for domestic battery. Nix is accused of trying to suffocate Sarah Niebert at his residence Saturday morning. She declined emergency medical service.
29-year-old Stephanie Brown of East Rileyville in Dix remained in jail Sunday morning after being arrested by sheriff's deputies on an outstanding Marion County felony warrant.
19-year-old Anna Pokojski of Lamar Street in Salem posted $150 bond and was released after being arrested for possession of under 2.5 grams of cannabis.
