Police Beat for Tuesday, March 18th, 2014A 41-year-old Salem man was arrested on multiple charges Monday night after allegedly getting into an altercation with a Salem Policeman on the parking lot of the McDonald's Restaurant on West Main Street. Scott Nadler of East Mitchell is being held in the Marion County Jail for alleged aggravated assault, aggravated battery, resisting a peace officer and disorderly conduct. Salem Police had initially been called to standby at the parking lot for a child visitation exchange. Nadler allegedly became involved in an argument with the person who had an order of protection against him and then reportedly turned on the officer. The officer was allegedly pushed. Nadler also initially fought being taken into custody. No injuries were reported.
55-year-old Lamont Mitchell of North Beech in Centralia remained in custody Tuesday after being arrested by Centralia Police on a Marion County failure to appear battery warrant and an outstanding Richland County warrant.
26-year-old John Atteberry of Mills Cart Road in Salem was in custody after being arrested by sheriff's deputies on a felony failure to appear in court warrant.
33-year-old Jaice Bastian of East Baseline Road in Centralia was arrested at the probation office on a petition to revoke his probation.
66-year-old Joseph Moll of South Locust in Centralia posted $100 after being arrested by State Police for alleged driving under the influence.
