Red Stripe Road Accident Sends One to HospitalA 35-year-old Sandoval man was injured in a single vehicle crash early Saturday morning on the Red Stripe Road one mile east of U.S. 51.
State Police say Samuel Carter was west bound when he ran off the right side of the road and struck a culvert. The impact caused his pickup truck to overturn twice before coming to rest turned the other direction on the drivers side.
Carter was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia for treatment. He was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Carter was able to get out of the truck on his own and had to travel a considerable distance to get help.
The crash occurred at 2:33 Saturday morning.
