Regional Coalition Meeting Called to Continue Murray Center Fight

By Bruce Kropp, WJBD News

A meeting has been called of the regional coalition formed to support Murray Developmental Center.  Centralia Mayor Tom Ashby have asked for the members to meet at ten next Tuesday morning at Centralia City Hall.

The meeting follows the decision of Federal Court Judge Marvin Aspen to deny an injunction to the Murray Parents Association barring the state from moving out the residents until a decision is made on the overall court case.

Representative Charlie Meier and Murray Parents Association President Rita Winkler will be updating the coalition on recent developments as well as discussing needs and next steps to move forward in the fight against the closure of Murray Center.
