South Side Salem Home Damaged By FireA south side Salem home was damaged by fire Sunday morning.
Salem Assistant Fire Chief Dave Duncan says the fire was at the Kelly Clark home at 426 West Kell Street. "We had heavy fire showing from a rear bathroom and laundry area. The call came in as a fire in the dryer. As our crew made entry, they were able to sniff the fire out pretty rapidly," said Duncan. "There is extensive damage in that bathroom, as well as heavy smoke, water and heat damage in the remainder of the house."
Duncan says they used a large fan to draw out some of the smoke.
Odin Firemen were called for mutual aide assistance. No one was hurt.
The call came in around 9:40 Sunday morning, with firemen on the scene for about an hour and a half.
