Two Weekend DUI ArrestsTwo weekend non-injury accidents have led to driving under the influence arrests.
Marion County Sheriff's Deputies say 44-year-old Cynthia Brown of East 7th in Junction City was traveling southbound on Old U.S. 51 south of Sandoval on Saturday night when she ran off the west side of the road. Initial reports indicate Brown was injured, but emergency personnel on the scene report she was sitting outside her car. Brown reportedly told them she wasn't injured, but was 'drunk and disorderly'. After a portable breathalizer indicated Brown had a blood alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit of intoxication, she was arrested for driving under the influence and improper lane usage. Brown later posted bond and was released from the Marion County Jail.
A 29-year-old Centralia man was arrested by Centralia Police on multiple charges after he allegedly ran into a parked car and left the scene. Dale Wessel of South Pine was arrested for alleged driving under the influence, driving on a suspended or revoked license, no insurance and leaving the scene of a non-injury accident. Wessel is accused of striking a parked car owned by Matthew Shook in front of his home in the 600 block of South Sycamore. The wreck occurred at 1:56 Sunday morning.
