Vacant Building Destroyed By Fire in Centralia

By Bruce Kropp, WJBD News

A vacant block building at 510 and a half North Locust in Centralia has been destroyed in a fire that is believed to have been set.

Centralia Fire Officials say the 600 square foot building was fully engulfed in flames when they received a call from a neighbor about the fire at 8:30 Friday night.  There were no utilities to the building.  No other structures were threatened.  Firemen say a few items stored in the building were also destroyed.

The building is owned by Johnny Walls of Jacksonville.
