Walnut Hill Woman Dropped From Drug Court, Sentenced to PrisonA 28-year-old Walnut Hill woman has been sentenced to one year and six months in prison after failing the Marion County Court Drug Court program.
Elizabeth McNeil of Bernard Road in Walnut Hill had pleaded guilty to a petition to revoke her probation on a possession of a controlled substance charge to get admitted to drug court. She had been in the Marion County Jail on sanctions of not participating in a focus group, failure to appear for drug testing, and then testing positive for drugs the following day prior to being removed from the drug court program on Friday.
McNeil will have to complete one year of mandatory release when getting released from prison. Fines in the case were also reassessed.
