Xenia Fire Department to Host Fish Fry, Street Dance, Arenacross

The Xenia Fire Department has announced it will host the 2013 Xenia Volunteer Firemen's Fish Fry, Street Dance, and Arenacross on Saturday, August 24th, starting at 11:00am until 12:00 midnight in Xenia Park, 20 miles east of Salem.

The event will feature a Gun Raffle and Silent Auction starting at 10:00am and lasting until 11:00pm, a Flea Market and Pedal Tractor Pull taking place Downtown, a Little Mr. and Miss Pageant taking place at 2:00pm at City Hall, a Washer Tourney at Noon. The Southern IL Elite Tumble and Cheer of Salem will perform on Front St. at 4pm, the Jr. Miss Pageant at 5:00pm at City Hall, along with Bingo, an Antique Tractor Pull, a Beer Garden, and a Street Dance featuring two area bands, "Bottoms Up" and Herman Perry and The Gold Nuggets". Children's Activities will include a Dunking Booth, Kid's Games, a Bounce House, and Train Rides.

The Arenacross will take place at the Xenia Park with sign in beginning at 8:00am and the first race at 11:30. The Arenacross will host several events in both Motorcycle and ATV classes. Admission to the Arenacross is $5 per Adult, $3 per Child, and $10 for Pit Passes. 

The Fire Department will be serving Fish, Hot Dogs, Bratwurst, and Chips along with Soft Drinks and Desserts from 11:00 to 12:00. Everyone is invited to attend.
