Blue Devils are Region 24 Champions

They

may be the Blue Devils, but the Kaskaskia College baseball team is red hot.

KC

wrapped up the Region 24 championship on Monday with a 17-7 win over top-seeded

Wabash Valley. The Blue Devils are region champs for the first time since 1991.

Kaskaskia

had 22 hits in the title game, with three KC batters having four hits apiece.

Tournament MVP Dennon Koziel was one of those players. Koziel was 9-12 with

eight RBIs in the tournament.

Kaskaskia

is 36-10 and riding a twelve-game winning streak and the Blue Devils will host

the NJCAA North District Tournament this week. The double-elimination affair

begins Friday at Larry Smith Field.
