Bobcats Drop Close Game at Effingham

The Franklin Park Bobcats' comeback bid fell short Monday afternoon in a 7-6 loss at Effingham.

Trailing 7-3 in the seventh inning, Salem plated three runs, but it wasn't enough.

Trevor Banning pitched well, giving up only four hits while striking out six batters.

Kaden Wayer led the Bobcats with a pair of hits, while Matt Davis, Trevor Banning and Jacob Harness each added a hit. Harness' hit was a triple, as he finished with two RBIs.

The Bobcats will host Mt. Vernon today at 4pm.
