Busy Night In Senior Legion

Senior Legion:  The Centralia Nelms Post 446 defeated the Trojans from Post 1193 of Bluford 8-4 and 7-5 to sweep their double header on the road.  Ryan Miller tossed a complete game in the opener striking out 9 and scattering 7 hits.  Jacob Boyce homered for Centralia in the first game. 

    Carlyle Ruf-Marcham Post 404 nipped Stahl Post 778 of Trenton 4-3.  Adam Alexander was the winning pitcher and Ethan Huge got the save.  John Becker, Tyson Boehne and Logan Zachry had 2 hits each for Carlyle.  Ryan Meddows had 2 for the Gators.  Before their game with Trenton, Carlyle finished a game that was postponed in Aviston and fell to the Express 7-3.   


    Trenton then came back to beat Mt Vernon 8-7 despite Post 141' Jake Pike having 7 RBI in the contest which included a grand slam. 

    The Express then stayed hot with an 11-8 win over New Baden.  It was the 4th straight win for Aviston.

    On the schedule for today, Salem Sr Legion Post 128 is in action at Mt Vernon at 5pm. 

Jr Legion:  The Mt Vernon Jr Legion took a pair from Bluford winning 12-2 in five innings before rallying for a 10-4 win in game 2.
