Cougars Rout Patoka To Stay UnbeatenKINMUNDY - Jace Wilkins drove in the winning run in the sixth inning as South Central beat Patoka 10-0 in Kinmundy. The Cougars used a 2-out, five-run rally in the 2nd inning to extend an already 2-0 lead after the first.
Noah Powless blasted his first homer of the fall, a solo shot, in the first inning. He was also solid on the mound allowing just 2 hits and struck out 10 while not walking a batter in four innings.
Powless finished 2-3 at the plate, Wilkins was 2-4 and Gavin Ratermann was 3-3 with an RBI and worked the final two innings on the hill striking out 4 and giving up no hits.
Joe Sturgeon took the loss for Patoka walking 9 in 3 innings. Seth Cain fithced the final 2.2 inning. Garrett Belcher and Mark Herrin had the only Warrior hits.
The Cougars are 2-0 and will host Dieterich on Tuesday afternoon. Patoka falls to 0-3 and will travel to Ramsey to finish up that tournament on Friday with the hosts.
