High School Basketball Wrap-Up - Centralia Falls, Odin Beats Sandoval

Cahokia used a late fourth quarter surge to defeat the Centralia Orphans 60-52 Friday night after the Orphans had closed Cahokia's lead to just two points with two minutes left in the game.  Jake Wood led the Oprhans with 19 points.  The loss was just the third of the year for the Orphans who are on the road at Jerseyville today.  The JV game begins at 4, followed by the varsity game around 5:30. 

Odin beat Sandoval 87 to 80 in a battle of Marion County schools.  Ryan Niepoetter led Odin with 22.  Gavin Wood had 18, Kevin Williams 17, Chase Horton 13 and Dustin Quick 11.  The win improves Odin to 15-3. They play Lovejoy in the Pinckneyville Shootout at 12:30 this afternoon and then at the Christ Our Rock Tournament at 6:30 tonight.   

Christ Our Rock Lutheran High School topped Patoka 37-30 at the Christ Our Rock Tournament.  Leo Bowen had 11 points for Christ Our Rock and Johnnie Clift eight to lead Patoka.
