Kaskaskia College receives academic honors
Kaskaskia College is proud to announce that its women's cross country, men's golf , softball and volleyball teams have been named to the 2012-13 NJCAA All-Academic Teams.
Volleyball players Brooke Maxey (St. Elmo) received the Pinnacle Award for Academic Excellence with a 4.0 GPA and Elizabeth Fuhler (Trenton) was named a NJCAA Superior Academic Achievement Honoree.
Ten students were awarded the 2012-13 NJCAA Pinnacle Award for Academic Excellence. These students are cross country runners Trisha Bach (Damiansville), Mallory Wendling (Altamont), and Laura Pick (Nashville); softball players Rebekah Brooks (Centralia), Chandler Miller (Waterloo), and Megan Reiher (Belleville); volleyball player Katie Crain (St. Peter); soccer players Chelsey Henrichs (Breese) and Allison Koerkenmeier (Trenton); and basketball Player Jacob Kampwerth (Beckemeyer).
According to Athletic Director, Shane Larson, “Kaskaskia College is proud to have so many teams and athletes honored for their academic achievements and that it demonstrates the commitment to academics and leadership that Kaskaskia College strives to achieve in recruiting student athletes”.
