Major Soccer Returning to St. LouisST. LOUIS (AP) - For the third time this year, a major soccer event is coming to St. Louis.
Plans were announced Wednesday for a match on Nov. 18 at Busch Stadium between the Argentina national team and Bosnia-Herzegovina, as long as Bosnia has already qualified for the World Cup. If not, another opponent will be named.
Tickets go on sale Oct. 10 by phone, online and at the stadium ticket office.
Busch Stadium drew a capacity crowd of 48,263 on May 23 to see Manchester City beat rival Chelsea 4-3 in an exhibition match. In August, Real Madrid beat Inter Milan 3-0 in an exhibition match at the Edward Jones Dome. The attendance of 54,184 was the largest ever for a soccer game in St. Louis, but about 13,000 shy of capacity.
