Post 128 Juniors Sweep BreeseThe Post 128 Junior Legion squad traveled to Breese last night to make up Monday’s rained out games, and Salem came back with two league wins.
Riley Martin pitched the first game, as Salem topped Breese 1-0. Martin scored the only run in the contest when he hit a double and was brought home on a Cole Steward RBI base hit.
Martin and Steward were instrumental in the nightcap, as they each had a single and a double in Salem’s 5-3 win. Martin drove in two runs and Steward scored a run for Salem. Dakota McDaneld had a double and an RBI and Will Fulkerson went 2-3 with two runs batted in for Post 128. Sedrick Hill was the winning pitcher.
Salem improved to 4-1 in league play and 14-3 overall. The Post 128 Juniors are scheduled to host Mt. Vernon for a double header tonight beginning at 6pm.
