Salem 13u Wildcats Take Second at Freeburg

The 13U Salem Boys Travel team played in the Championship game of the Freeburg Wooden Bat July Fest, a game that didn't end until 11:30 Sunday night.

After losing two close games in pool play on Saturday, the Wildcats battled back on title day, beating the St. Louis Naturals and the SI Mustangs, to advance to the Championship game against the Illini Prospects, an elite travel team in the Midwest.

The Wildcats ended up on the losing end of the Championship game, finishing second overall in the tournament.

It was the final game of the season for the 13u team.
