Salem Little League Round Up 05/09
The Lions Cardinals defeated Salem
IGA 11-0 in little league majors Wednesday night. The Cardinals opened up
the game with five runs in the first and never looked back. Laten Wayer picked the victory, pitching
four innings allowing only two hits and walking none. Gage Roberts lead the charge by going 3-3 with a
single, triple and a home run driving in 3 runs. Laten Wayer went 2-2
with a double and a triple. Isaac Adams, Zachary Livesay, Trevor Greene,
Cade Alberson, Kaleb Bargh and Christian Jourdan all added a hit.
Salem Tire topped Chicos 14-0. Brendan Boles pitched 5 1/3 innings in the win, striking out nine, walking five, and giving up just two hits. Brendan Ruckman was 3-3 with two walks and a double for Salem Tire while teammate Chris Sidener had a pair of doubles. Nate Roth and Trent Geiler each went 1-2 for Chicos.
Rotary def. People's 3-1. Eric Brubaker was the winning pitcher with ten strikeouts and only one walk. Morgan Odell had a homerun for Rotary.
Radiac def. Rural King 6-4. Haley Phillips pitched for Radiac and set down the opponents in order in the sixth inning to seal the win. Lexi Sadreich had an RBI triple in the first for Radiac, cutting the Rural King lead in half. Sheridan Middleton doubled in the third, and Allison Baer and Sadreich each had an RBI in the frame that gave Radiac the lead for good. Elizabeth Long, Shyla Soulon and Madison Quandt all had RBIs for Rural King.
Hunter Law def. Jeff Dunahee 10-0 in five innings. Delaney Kell was the winning pitcher. Serina Lee and Chloe Phillips each had a single for Jeff Dunahee. Kell, Abbie Grahm, Elizabeth Barnett, and Jessica Foreman all had hits for Hunter Law. Kylie Cummins and Grahm scored two runs apiece for the winners.
Jeff Dunahee defeated Bandy's
Pharmacy 14-4 in coach pitch baseball. Cale Harris and Rolen Adams both had
4 hits and Carter Engel and Levi Young both had 3 hits. Rhett Runge, Eli Whitworth,
and Wyatt Jones each added a hit for the Rays.
