Salem Wins Big Trojan InviteThe Salem Wildcats boys track team finished the regular season
with a victory at the Charleston High School Big Trojan Invitational.
The Wildcats won the eight-team meet with 176 points.
Robinson was second with 142. Charleston took third.
First-place finishers for the Wildcats were Daniel Dillon in
the 300-meter hurdles (44.13 sec), Donte Rush in the high jump (6’3”) and long
jump (21'4”). Matt Hahn was a double winner in the shot put (49'6”) and the
Tyler Jourdan was second in the pole vault. Chase Mercer took
second in the triple jump while Dillon crossed the finish line in 2nd place in
the 110 hurdles. Cody Oller was 2nd in the long jump and the high jump.
The Wildcats are off until the IHSA sectional which will be
hosted by Salem on Thursday May 16th.
