SuperSonics Sweep Bandits

The Centralia SuperSonics 14u softball team continued its season-long dominance of the SI Bandits last night, sweeping a double header.

The Sonics won the first game 10-1 behind eleven strikeouts from winning pitcher Jo Brooks. Bailey Spears and Brooke Burcham had a pair of hits each. Brooks, Chloe Wendling, Megan Molenhour, Lauren Heinzmann, and Kennedy Laffoon all had hits.

Centralia took care of business in the nightcap, winning 14-3. Burcham earned the win, striking out two in three innings. Spears struck out the side in her one inning of relief. Heinzmann and Kameron Kelly both went 3-3 at the plate and Spears added a pair of hits. Molenhour had a double and Laffoon and Casey Little also had hits.

The SuperSonics improve 23-6 and are in West Frankfort this weekend for a tournament.
