SuperSonics Sweet SWAT on the Road

The Centralia SuperSonics 14U softball team took two games from the SWAT in Altamont Wednesday evening.

Centralia won the first game 4-0 as Josie Brooks got the win, striking out six SWAT hitters. Megan Molenhour led the Sonics with a double. Kameron Kelly, Bailey Spears, Lauren Heinzmann, Brooke Burcham, and Kennedy Laffoon all had singles.

The SuperSonics took the nightcap 6-4 as the Centralia squad banged out ten hits. Spears went 3-4 with a double. Sydney Hoerchler went 2-4. Chloe Wendling had a double. Kelly, Heinzmann, Brooks, and Laffoon all added singles. Burcham was the winning pitcher while Brooks got the save.

With the sweep, the Sonics are now 39-11. Centralia wraps up the season this week at the Bagel Fest Tournament in Mattoon.
