Arizona Stuns No.5 Oregon 42-16
(TUCSON, Ariz.) -- Ka'Deem Carey rushed for 206 yards and four touchdowns as Arizona stunned No. 5 Oregon 42-16 on Saturday.
It was the biggest win in over two decaces for the Wildcats (7-4, 4-4 Pac 12), who all but put an end to Oregon's BCS hopes.
"I'm really proud of our guys," Arizona head coach Rich Rodriguez said. "We had a long week and I knew they were gonna be ready to play especially our 18 seniors, and they probably played about as well as we could."
Oregon (9-2, 6-2) turned the football over three times as they watched their national title chances slip away from them. Marcus Mariota threw for 308 yards and two touchdowns, but also had his first two interceptions of the season.
The Wildcats were coming off a disappointing loss to Washington State, but they didn't back down against the fast paced Ducks. They quickly jumped out to a 14-0 lead and were well on their way to their first win over a top-five team since knocking No. 1 Washington in 1992.
B.J. Denker passed for 178 yards and a pair of scores to pace the Wildcats.
