Broncos Edge Cowboys in High Scoring Affair

Jeff Gross/Getty Images(ARLINGTON, Texas) -- Dallas quarterback Tony Romo threw for a franchise-record 506 yards, but his late game interception with under two minutes left set up Denver for the game-winning field goal, as the Denver Broncos outlasted the Cowboys 51-48 Sunday.

Romo played well all game completing 92.1% of his passes and five touchdowns but his fourth quarter interception to linebacker Danny Trevathan proved to be the backbreaker.

"They did a good job," Romo said when talking about the interception. "The kid made a good play. I didn't get as much on it, just with the people around me as I wanted too. I wanted to put it another foot or two out in front....and the ball, I didn't put it exactly where I needed to to put the pass in. In hindsight I'd rather do anything then what we did there."

Meanwhile Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning was almost as good as Romo. The four-time MVP completed 33 of 42 passes for 414 yards, four touchdowns, one interception and ran for a touchdown as well.

Denver (5-0) joins Kansas City and New Orleans as the only unbeaten teams in the NFL.

Despite losing, Dallas (2-3) is still tied for first in the NFC East with the Philadelphia Eagles.
