Crawford Leads Dodgers Past Marlins in 11 Innings, 9-7
(MIAMI) -- Dodgers outfielder Carl Crawford hit a pinch-hit two-run home run in the 11th inning as Los Angeles (18-13) reeled in the Miami Marlins (15-15), 9-7 on Saturday night.
Third baseman Juan Uribe opened the 11th for the Dodgers by drawing a walk against Marlins reliever Carlos Marmol. After catcher Miguel Olivo struck out, Crawford took a 2-0 pitch and sent it over the right field wall for the go-ahead score.
Los Angeles received plenty of support from the top of their lineup as leadoff hitter, shortstop Dee Gordon went 5 for 6 with two runs and two RBI’s while outfielder Yasiel Puig, batting second finished the day 2 for 6 with a run and 3 RBIs. Gordon also contributed three stolen bases to give him 19 on the season.
