Matt Ryan Agrees To Contract Extension With Atlanta Falcons
(FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga.) -- The Atlanta Falcons and two-time Pro Bowl quarterback Matt Ryan agreed to a five-year contract extension on Thursday. The deal is reportedly worth up to $103.75 million, with $59 million in guaranteed money, according to ESPN.
The Falcons selected Ryan out of Boston College with the third overall pick in the 2008 NFL draft. In 78 career regular season games with Atlanta, Ryan has passed for 18,957 yards with 127 touchdowns against 60 interceptions.
With Ryan under helm at center, Atlanta has made the playoffs four out of the last five seasons, including an appearance in the NFC Championship game last year.
