Nationals' Stephen Strasburg on Schedule to Make Next Start
(ATLANA) -- Washington Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasburg is expected to make his next start on Saturday against the Pirates thanks to physical improvements.
"He had a great bullpen," Nationals manager Davey Johnson said on Wednesday. "Didn't have any discomfort."
Outfielder Bryce Harper's X-rays on his ribs came back negative after looking awkward on a check swing in last night's 2-0 win over the Braves.
"He didn’t want to come out of the ballgame, but I saw him grimacing and I was concerned about him playing," Johnson said. "We couldn’t take a chance on it. He could pull a lat or something and he could be out for a long time."
