Ohio State's Miller Re-Injures Shoulder

Kirk Irwin/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Ohio State football fans had cause to be excited about the upcoming 2014 season. That excitement has been put on hold after it was revealed quarterback Braxton Miller re-injured his right shoulder during practice Monday.

According to a source, Miller sustained a non-contact injury and was helped off the field by medical staff. Earlier in the day, the senior declared himself 100 percent cleared to play. Miller underwent offseason shoulder surgery, a minor procedure, in February and was slowly being eased back into football.

The Buckeyes were picked fifth in the preseason AP poll, while Miller was projected to be a Heisman trophy finalist. In his last full season in MLB, Miller threw for 2,094 yards and 24 touchdowns while rushing for 12 more.
