Report: Ravens Lose TE Dennis Pitta For The Season Due To Hip Injury
(BALTIMORE) -- Baltimore Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta will miss the entire 2013 season after undergoing hip surgery Saturday night, according to ESPN.
The 28-year-old Pitta dislocated his hip after colliding with safety Jame Ihedigbo during practice on Saturday.
In 16 regular season games with the Ravens last year, Pitta had 61 receptions for 669 yards and seven touchdowns. During Baltimore’s post-season run to the Super Bowl championship, he had 14 catches for 163 yards and three T-D’s.
Back in May, Pitta signed a one-year deal with the Ravens worth $2.023 million.
