The Village of Farina passed a Truth and Taxation certificate of compliance at their most recent meeting Monday.

The certificate indicates no tax increases will be levied over 105 percent of the previous fiscal year. Village officials say there will be no tax increase with a tax levying ordinance passed as well.

Meanwhile, the village is still awaiting a grant application decision to fund a water project to update the village waterlines. If the grant is approved work will start in 2010.
