A 29-year-old Centralia man is being held in the Marion County Jail today on multiple charges following a fight Wednesday afternoon at Skipper's Inn on South Locust in Centralia.
Centralia Police arrested Walter Mancinelli of North College on two counts of aggravated battery, a third count of aggravated battery doing bodily harm, disorderly conduct and resisting a peace officer. Police say when they arrived at the Skipper's Inn they found 55-year-old Bill Keyes of South Sycamore holding Mancinelli to the floor. Keyes had reportedly come to the aide of several women who Mancinelli had earlier threatened to attack. Keyes reportedly sustained injuries to his head and forehead as he attempted to control Mancinelli until police could handcuff him. Keyes was taken to St. Mary's/Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment.
Police say Mancinelli had earlier been asked to leave the bar after getting into an argument with his girlfriend, 30-year-old Cynthia Beane of Terry Street in Centralia. The two later allegedly rushed back into the bar, with Cynthia Beane and 53-year-old Roberta Beane of Terry Street being pinned against a wall and a third patron, 54-year-old Dorothy Allison of South Franklin in Wamac, being forceably bumped into the bar.
