The Marion County Health Department has received a limited supply of Pediatric Seasonal Flu vaccine.

Shelley Yoder with MCHD says the supply will be dispensed through the department office locations. "Each of our branches has been notified of how many appointments we can take," she says. "The vaccine will be available for children six months of age through 18 years of age and will be scheduled by appointment."

Yoder says children who need their first seasonal flu shot will be given top priority. She says the department has seasonal flu shots on backorder and is expecting the remainder of the order to be filled soon. Yoder says there is no timetable for the rest of the shipment.
