Unruly Inmate Charged With Two Counts of Battery to a Police Officer
11/6/09 @ 2:20:22 pm

A 34-year-old Centralia woman has been charged with two counts of aggravated battery to a police officer and criminal damage to state supported property after allegedly becoming unruly at the Marion County Jail this (Friday) morning.

Jobina Pate of Lakeshore Drive had initially been brought to the jail by Centralia Police for criminal trespass to railroad property and disorderly conduct.  After being placed in an interview room, Pate allegedly began throwing chairs around the room and broke a mirror.  At that point, Pate was put in a restraint chair.  She then allegedly kicked a correctional officer when her foot became free.  Correctional officers say Pate eventually was tazed after refusing to cooperate.
